Encouraging Positive Behavior

Dragon Students show their Dragon's Pride by being Respectful, Responsible, Ready and Safe. Every day 6 students participate in a classroom meeting to help create a sense of belonging and a respectful learning environment. Students are also learning about the definition of bullying and how to be a helpful bystander if they witness bullying.

While visiting Hampden Elementary you might hear a staff member say thank you for walking safely or I noticed you were ready for lunch as they acknowledge and reinforce students for their Dragon’s Pride. To remind students of expectations you may hear us saying show me how you line up or think about how you should walk quietly. We are making Hampden a great school by being a positive, caring community of learners.

We hope all students at Hampden Elementary will believe and work hard for their dreams because we believe they can achieve great things!

Our Hampden Bully Prevention Rap:

It only takes one to stop it today!

Bullying needs to go away!

It can happen if we follow the rules,

Everyday, here at school!

We won't bully!

We will try to help!

We will try to include!

We will tell!
